XCELL® Irradiator Systems from Kubtec® are designed for a range of applications: small animal, cell, food, seed, and component irradiation in research and commercial environments. XCELL Systems offer a safe and cost effective method for irradiating in accurate, repeatable, monitored doses, and contain no hazardous radioisotopes.
All XCELL Irradiators are fully shielded cabinet systems that use a high-frequency electrically generated X-ray source that requires no USNRC licensing. The user-friendly controls allow dose control, time formats, and other operating modes. All XCELL Systems are simple to operate and require no X-ray training for the operator.
The free-standing X-ray irradiator systems offer a large chamber size with room to efficiently irradiate the widest range of samples. It is used to irradiate organic and inorganic specimens and material components. The KUBTEC XCELL freestanding irradiator systems are available in three models: XCELL 160, XCELL 225, and XCELL 320 with energy ranges of up to 160 kV, 225 kV and 320 kV respectively.
Additionally, all systems can be equipped with a radiographic detector to provide two additional imaging interfaces and capabilities: high-resolution X-ray imaging and high-definition optical imaging.
Available accessories include a turntable for uniform irradiation of specimens, dosimeter, Orthovoltage sources, various filters, collimators of different sizes, and integrated digital X-ray imaging.
